Fulton Street Flora / Lancaster PA Brand Photography Session

Its May! Flowers are in bloom, windows are open, I’ve got a little dirt under my nails from digging around in my garden earlier today and my heart is full! I’m feeling refreshed in all kinds of ways these days…

Photography can be a lonely job. 80% of my work is done alone and that can be super isolating (even for a raging introvert like myself) I realized early last year that nothing lights a fire under me like creative collaboration and that sent me on a search for other small businesses started and run by women to find connection with.

Fulton Street Flora was one of the first brands I honed in on here in Lancaster that had exactly the kind of entrepreneurial spirit I was looking for. Four years ago, owners Janelle and Christian were inspired to turn the empty lot they owned next to their Lancaster city home into a micro urban flower farm and that was the beginning of their custom floral design studio. The green house on their property now hosts pop up shop events and a weekly schedule starting Spring 2021 (definitely give them a follow on instagram to keep up with their pop-up events!) and soon they’ll have a permanent stand at the new Columbia Market House (opening May 29, 2021) It was so refreshing and fun to capture a little bit of their floral oasis in the city!
